Organise clips in the media bin. Use folders to keep your show assets together, and save the show with its media when it needs to travel.

Arrange the cue stack, set follow-on behaviour and see what is coming next. Or stay in the bin for shows that need a more immediate approach.

4K and superwide capacity depends on the Mac, media format and output chain. Rehearse with the actual files, resolutions and hardware you plan to use.

Pro adds NDI and OMT network video output, plus SDI through compatible Blackmagic DeckLink hardware. SDI requires Blackmagic Desktop Video.
NDI, OMT and SDI outputs currently carry video only. Route audio separately through the selected Mac audio device.

A second Mac, kept in step.
Pro pairs a backup Mac, synchronises the show and follows playback. The operator takes over manually using the show's external switcher or routing.
Pairing does not automatically switch the audience's video or audio feed.

For a useful report, include the RollVT version, Mac model, macOS version, output hardware and what happened. Keep passwords and licence credentials out of the message.
Does a backup Mac take over automatically?
No. Pro synchronises the show and follows playback on the paired Mac. The operator switches the audience's feed manually using an external switcher or routing. Plan both the video and audio changeover.
What do I need for SDI output?
Compatible Blackmagic DeckLink hardware, the Blackmagic Desktop Video driver and a supported connection to your Mac. Confirm that Desktop Video detects the device before configuring RollVT. SDI output currently carries video only.
Can I hire out a Mac with RollVT installed?
Yes. A purchaser may hire out a licensed Mac, and the hirer and their operators may use RollVT within the purchaser's existing position allowance. See the licence terms.
What does “Lifetime” include?
The purchased major version and its point updates: a RollVT 1.x licence includes 1.x updates, not version 2 or later. Future major upgrades are optional, separately priced purchases. If we permanently retire licensing, the terms provide for an offline unlock for the licensed major version.
Does RollVT upload my media?
Licensing and updates do not upload your show media. If you choose to submit a bug report, it may include logs, file paths and show metadata; media files are not included. Read the Privacy Notice for licensing, diagnostics and website data.
